I'm Julie. 

My journey into painting began amidst a painful life experience.  At 50 years old I picked up a paintbrush and put it to canvas for the first time.  Until that time, I did not know that I could paint; nor did I know how to use my voice.  Painting became a way of expressing my inmost feelings and in fact of discovering what those feelings were and who I was as a person. With every painting I created I would say "Look, this is my favorite one!" Being the Master Creator, I imagine that is how God is when he creates each of us.  I can see him saying to the angels, "Look at this one!  This is my favorite one!" Through creating art, I learned to appreciate the beauty that God creates daily in the world and in each and every person. My journey reflects the transformative power of art during challenging times. Discovering my voice in painting provided solace and a means of emotional expression. My art not only serves as an outlet for my own emotions but also helps others tap into unexplored feelings. Art is a testament to the profound impact creativity can have on personal healing and connection with others.
